USA won’t be making any changes to the playing XI which played against Canada in the first game of the tournament. The players did well and USA would feel if they can replicate the performance, they could upset Pakistan as well.

• Aaron Jones – Aaron Jones played a magnificent innings of 94 in 40 balls against Canada. He scored 10 sixes in the game. He joined Gayle in the list of most sixes in a T20 World Cup game. He also scored a fifty in just 22 balls which was the fastest fifty by a USA batter in T20Is
• Andries Gous –  Andries Gous also had a great game against Canada and played a good innings of 65 runs. Gous has played against top players in franchise tournaments like MLC and ILT20 so he is very capable to perform against top bowlers.
• Corey Anderson – Corey Anderson could be the game changer against Pakistan. He has played and performed against Pakistan previously as well. Also, his bowling could be handy on this wicket while he is also very capable to score big runs.
• Saurabh Netravalkar – Saurabh Netravalkar is a quality bowler and has done well for USA consistently for years. The team would rest a lot of hopes on him against top teams like India and Pakistan.

USA defeated Bangladesh before the World Cup. In the first game of the mega event, the team defeated Canada by seven wickets.

Imad Wasim had been ruled out of the game against USA due to a side strain. Also, Babar will have to make a tough call about the selection of Azam Khan, who has not been in great form. Pakistan have four quality pacers but only three can play in the team. Shaheen Afridi, Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf are the likely starters.

• Babar Azam – Babar Azam will hold the key for Pakistan. The conditions are not the best to bat and most of the expectations will rest on batters who have sound technique. Babar is one of the best batters in the format and recently became the first Pakistan batter to score over 4000 runs in T20Is. 
• Fakhar Zaman – Fakhar Zaman will be a big game player for Pakistan in this World Cup. He is someone who can take the attack to the opposition. Fakhar has shown good form in the build-up to the World Cup and played a few good innings against Ireland and England.
• Shadab Khan – Shadab Khan has been horribly out of form but he could be a big game player for Pakistan in this world cup. The bowlers will enjoy the conditions and spinners in the middle overs won’t be easy to face given the turn and grip that is on offer. Shadab could play a big role for Pakistan as his four overs could be decisive. Also, he can score handy runs down the order. 
• Shaheen Afridi – Afridi is the lead pacer for Pakistan and would be looking for early strikes. The new ball has swung a lot and this is where Shaheen thrives. If the ball is moving, Shaheen could be unplayable at times.
