Mitchell Starc was left out of KKR’s XI for the last game with the team management briefing to the media that he had a slight injury. However, most pundits believed it was more due to his lack of form. But with KKR taking only one wicket with the ball in the last game, we expect the Australian to return.

• Sunil Narine- the 35 year old has been producing with both bat and ball on a consistent basis in IPL 2024 season and Friday’s game was another with four overs costing only 24 runs as well as hitting 13 boundaries.
• Phil Salt- the keeper-batter is a powerful hitter of the ball and finished with a strike-rate of 200+ after hitting 75 runs from 37 balls in the last game.
• Harshit Rana- the 22 year old right-arm fast bowler conceded 61 runs in the last game but he will be keen to get back on track in this game at Eden Gardens where he had taken four wickets across the previous two matches.
• Mitchell Starc- the Australian left-arm pace bowler has been expensive in the tournament but he is a very dangerous bowler and KKR could do with his attacking mentality with the ball in this game.

There were two new faces in the Delhi Capitals XI on Saturday afternoon at the Arun Jaitley Stadium with South African Lizaad Williams coming into the side along with Kumar Kushagra. Although Williams was wicketless and Kushagra didn’t get to bat, we expect the same XI to be selected for the trip to Kolkata.

• Jake Fraser-McGurk- it has been a remarkable introduction to the IPL from the young Australian who comes into this match averaging 49.40 and with a strike-rate of 237.50 from five innings.
• Rishabh Pant- the keeper-batter-skipper had a tough time with poor results early in the tournament but impressed again on Saturday with 29 runs from only 19 balls.
• Mukesh Kumar- the right-arm fast medium bowler has been very consistent in this campaign and arrives in Kolkata after taking three wickets against Mumbai Indians.
• Kuldeep Yadav- the left-arm wrist spinner went wicketless on Saturday but still has an impressive strike-rate of 13.50 in this year’s IPL.

Rasikh Salam, Praveen Dubey, Vicky Ostwal, Ricky Bhui, Sumit Kumar

Right-arm medium fast bowler Rasikh came into the side again on Saturday and took three wickets whilst having the best economy rate so we expect him to play the same role during the bowling innings in this game.
