Dolphins Team News & Playing 11

DOL Team News

Of all the teams to qualify for the semi-finals, Dolphins are in the greatest form. They have won their last three games by eight wickets twice and seven wickets with the latter their final group stage game against Warriors. It will take a fine performance in this match to stop Dolphins progressing to the final.

DOL Team Batting

Needing just 131 runs to win on Sunday, Dolphins got home with 16 balls remaining and with seven wickets in hand. There were strong performances from JJ Smuts who scored 43 not out and Jason Smith who hit 41 not out from 26 balls. Keeper-batter Grant Roelofsen comes into this game after producing a strike-rate of 183.33 in the last match.

DOL Team Bowling

Although they didn’t bowl out Warriors in the last game it was still a strong performance with the ball from Dolphins. The opening pair in particular, Eathan Bosch and Daryn Dupavillon, were in fine form and they will be looking forward to bowling at the same batters in this semi-final.

DOL Team Form

Dolphins ended the group stage with five victories in a row and they have won nine of their last 11 completed games.

Dolphins Predicted Playing 11

Warriors Team News & Playing 11

WAR Team News

It was a very disappointing end to the group stage for Warriors who were only able to beat bottom of the table KZN-Inland from Match 27 onwards. This form saw them fall down from being outright leaders to finishing in third place. However the team must now get themselves up for this one off semi-final.

WAR Team Batting

Warriors found themselves in trouble early on against Dolphins in their final group stage match but Jordan Hermann was able to rescue them with 65 runs from 53 balls to take them from 18/3 to 130/8. Patrick Kruger impressed from number seven and could well move up the order in this match.

WAR Team Bowling

Only Patrick Kruger, Siya Simetu and JP King picked up a wicket each in Sunday’s match although Sean Whitehead did catch the eye with his relentless line and length which helped him finish with 0/14 from his four overs. If Whitehead can also pick up wickets in this game then Warriors could well be a threat with the ball.

WAR Team Form

After setting the pace at the top of the table for the first half of the group stage, Warriors have won only one of their last six matches.

Warriors Predicted Playing 11

Jiveshan Pillay, Matthew Breetzke (c), Andile Mokgakane, Jordan Hermann, JP King, Sinethemba Qeshile (wk), Patrick Kruger, Sean Whitehead, Siya Simetu, Alfred Mothoa, Nealan van Heerden

🏆 Dolphins vs Warriors Prediction

We predict that Warriors will put in a better performance than we saw on Sunday against Dolphins but in reality this is going to be another tough fixture. With a place in the final up for grabs, there could be nerves on both sides, but Dolphins are in brilliant form and we are backing them to win.
